About
Art doesn't exist because things are meaningful. Art exists because we are able to see things as meaningful. The problem I see in the notion of contemporary art lies in its inability to not think itself. The challenge is not anymore to think art, to have art and to enjoy art but quite the opposite - to not think art, to not have art and to not enjoy it.
Art is mostly understood as nothing being interpreted as something therefore I choose to understand art as something being interpreted as nothing.
Furthermore I came to the conclusion that I can't be an artist (existentially) even if at the same time I can't imagine myself existing as anything else but an artist (idealistically). In such circumstances the art itself matters much less than experiencing how does one succeed or fail in his wish to fulfill his inner ambitions related to being an artist. In this way art becomes an illusion not just in its form but also its meaning in the sense that the meaning becomes unnecessary.
